Biography

I grew up in Québec city and completed a diploma of College Studies in natural sciences at CÉGEP Champlain St. Lawrence. Over the course of my studies there, I had the opportunity to learn more about the different fields of sciences that had intrigued me since a young age. During my last semester there, I had the pleasure of discovering the world of biochemistry. As I was completely oblivious to this field of study prior to this, it caused me to consider life under a new perspective as well as led to the emergence of new questions within me. For this reason, I decided to continue my academic path with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Université Laval. I was particularly astonished at the complexity and beauty of living organisms and wondered how chemical reactions and simple living organisms could evolve into such complex systems. I am still learning daily about these subjects that intrigue me profoundly and amaze me. Now, after the completion of my first year in this program, I have the chance and opportunity to do an internship at the Landry Lab. I am eager to learn more about molecular evolution and life sciences in general along with the outstanding and inspiring team!
