Biography
Growing up, I always knew that I would pursue a career in science, which is why I studied in Sciences de la nature at the Cégep de Valleyfield. Biology classes were extremely fascinating, and I became very interested in the living organisms at the microscopic level. With the aim of learning more about this subject, I then moved from my hometown to complete my bachelor’s degree in microbiology at Laval University. I am now very thrilled to join the Landry Lab and work on antifungal resistance for my second internship with this amazing team. This humongous microscopical world still hides many secrets, and I am very happy to take part in trying to discover them
Research interests
I am generally interested in antimicrobial resistance and molecular evolution. By studying mutations in the main antimicrobial targets of fungal pathogens of plants and humans and their impact on drug susceptibility, better tools to fight against antifungal resistance can be created. My hobbies outside the lab include reading, playing softball, and solving puzzles.
