Biography 

I obtained a master’s and a doctorate’s degree in the laboratory of Dr. Yves Bourbonnais at Université Laval and I am now specialized with the use of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a working tool and as a model organism. Being easy to manipulate genetically, this single-celled organism allows us to try to answer many scientific questions of interest for the laboratory. My work in the laboratory of Dr. Christian Landry can be divided into three parts (administration, instrumentation and experimentation) which are making me a resource person (commonly named “the mom of the lab”) for students and researchers.

Biographie 

Après avoir obtenu une maîtrise et un doctorat dans le laboratoire du Dr Yves Bourbonnais à l’Université Laval, je suis maintenant spécialisée en tant que biochimiste dans l’usage de la levure Saccharomyces cerevisiae comme outil et organisme modèle. Facile à manipuler génétiquement, cet organisme unicellulaire nous permet d’essayer de répondre à de nombreuses questions scientifiques qui intéressent le laboratoire. Mon travail dans le laboratoire du Dr Christian Landry peut être divisé en trois parties (administration, instrumentation et expérimentation) qui font de moi une personne-ressource (communément appelée « la maman du labo ») pour les étudiants et les chercheurs.
